Our day starts in Agerola, the most elevated town on the Amalfi Coast. You will meet your guide in Bomerano in the main piazza. Upon requests you can be picked-up wherever in the region.
Our walk at easy pace will start in between some vineyards and walnut trees. You will be astonished at the view of the scenery from the Terraces. Those are small pieces of flat land “stolen” from the mountain by the settlers on the Coast: they built up thousands of artificial stone walls, free of concrete creating the most spectacular farming land. As we walk downhill the vineyards are substituted by olive and lemon trees. Your guide will be able to point out the main features of the flora in the area.
As time goes by the scenery becomes more and more fantastic/gorgeous with Capri in the background : steep cliffs, nice-smelling Mediterranean herbs, the sky merges into the sea, you can nearly touch it, and the white-washed villages of Praiano and Positano in the distance.
Our walk down through Santa Croce and Montepertuso, tiny villages above Positano, will give you the chance to experience how people still live here.
In Montepertuso, upon request, we can offer you an authentic food experience in a picturesque farm-restaurant.
Later we will be in Positano for some time at leisure: both shopping and/or swimming is available.
From Positano we can move to Amalfi either by boat or by public bus or private transport. This will be decided ahead of time according to your desire. The boat ride is a wonderful experience, the price is reasonable, but it is not always available due to weather conditions.
Later in Amalfi your guide will also outline the main historical facts of the site. Amalfi was the great glorious seafarer republic of the Dukedom of Amalfi and it is St. Andrew’ s burial site.
Finally we will head back to Agerola by private vehicle or public bus.
